NOZA has the largest database of philanthropic gift records that are available - approximately 80 million gift records for US nonprofits and almost 6 million records for Canadian nonprofits.  There is no legal requirement for any nonprofit to disclose donor information, but since many generate annual reports or press releases that include donor names, NOZA can collect these and structure them for searching.  Information can be found on corporate, foundation, and individual donors.  You can search the foundation donors for free (with registration), but searching the individual and corporate donors requires a subscription, currently $900/year.  Many search criteria can be used including recipient organization type, mission and amount of gift.
